Reading about the book 'The visual story'

These days I have reading the book 'The Visual Story', especially the chapter 9 which is named 'Story and Visual Structure'. The basic narrative structure is written there. Exposition, conflict and resolution, these three are treated as the basic structure of a story. It is useful for me to make research on temporal interruption like flashback and flashforward.
